Big Bang′s Daesung is enjoying success in Japan.
According to a Japanese media outlet on March 5, Daesung′s first Japanese solo album D′scover rose to no. 2 on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart.

This is the highest record for a solo singer from a group.
Daesung even came in second on the iTunes Japan album chart, and his promotional single The Ballad I Want to Singscored a no. 2 rank on USEN′s J-Pop Request Rank.
D′scover contains 10 remakes of J-Pop songs he chose out of over 200 candidates, as well as two new, original songs.
From March 23-24 the singer will perform in Kobe, and continue to tour Japan until June for his D-Lite D′scover Tour 2013 In Japan ~ DLIVE ~. The concerts are expected to gather an audience of over 100,000.
